  • Kim Lim was a British-Singaporean sculptor known for her refined and thoughtful approach to form. Her sculpture Day, subtly positioned in the gardens of The Hepworth Wakefield, is a testament to her delicate sense of balance and proportion, and is widely recognized as one of her seminal works.

  • For the primary logo, her first and last names combine to create a radial symmetry between the letterforms, evoking a sense of balance and rhythm—qualities synonymous with the installations of Kim Lim.

  • Each letterform die-cut from the cover of this exhibition catalog is adapted from sections of Kim Lim's sculptures. In this design, the 3D medium is translated into profiles and silhouettes, giving new emphasis to the shapes of her work.

To ensure that Kim Lim’s work had enough space to breathe, I worked with a neutral palette and simplified layouts.
